HVAC Repair & Heat Pump Service in Hoover, AL

Hoover has grown fast, and its HVAC needs are just as varied as its neighborhoods. From newly built homes in Ross Bridge and Lake Cyrus to established properties in Bluff Park and Riverchase, Prantl Heating | Cooling has spent more than 50 years keeping Hoover families comfortable through humid Alabama summers and cold winter snaps. We’re based just up the road in Hueytown, about 20-25 minutes from most Hoover neighborhoods via I-459, so a fast response is the norm, not the exception.

Heat pumps have become a go-to choice for Hoover homeowners who want efficient heating and cooling from a single system – it’s one of the most common calls we get from Hoover. Whether your heat pump is short-cycling, blowing warm air in heat mode, or simply due for a tune-up, our technicians diagnose and repair all major residential brands. See our heat pump services page for details.

Air conditioning is close behind, and a lot of the Hoover calls we get aren’t about broken equipment – they’re about equipment that’s undersized or oversized for the home. Builder-grade AC systems installed during Hoover’s newer-construction boom are sometimes sized to a spec sheet rather than the actual home, which shows up as short-cycling, uneven cooling between floors, or an AC bill that seems high for a newer house. Our technicians check actual load calculations, not just the age of the unit, before recommending a repair or a full AC installation – so if your system is fighting your house instead of cooling it, that’s worth a second look even if the unit itself is only a few years old.
